Our student scheme is for those undertaking an Electrotechical qualification.
The NICEIC Student Membership Scheme is available to support and complement the training and personal development of students undertaking relevant technical competency training, whether full-time, part-time or through an apprenticeship within the electrotechnical industry.

Benefits of the scheme
As part of the student scheme , our Senior Technical Development Manager, Darren Staniforth and Jake Green, Marketing Technical Presenter offer the opportunity, by arrangement, to attend your college and give a technical talk as well as answer any technical questions.

Darren Staniforth, Senior Technical Development Manager has over 30 years’ experience as an electrician and is a qualified lecturer in the electrotechnical industry. He joined NICEIC in 2006 and currently develops and presents technical topics at all NICEIC and ELECSA events.
Jake Green, Marketing Technical Presenter graduated through NICEIC’s apprentice academy, Jake has experienced all aspects of the trade carrying out work on Solar PV, agricultural installations and commercial sites. Jake joined NICEIC in 2017 and has now completed his traineeship. Jake now presents alongside Darren at all NICEIC and ELECSA events.
To apply for membership you will need to have a minimum of 3 month remaining on your current electrotechnical course or apprenticeship scheme or your course must be longer than 3 months in duration.
